A variety of voices are coming together to offer reflections on upcoming Sunday readings, church seasons, ritual, prayer practices, art and creativity, and all sorts of other topics as they relate to The Journey of Quadratos. Our bloggers are preparing to start their discussions in earnest during February 2010. This is right around the February 2 release of the new book, The Hidden Power of the Gospels, by Alexander J. Shaia.

Our community of bloggers is made up of friends of quadratos from around the country, and we will bring you the latest news and reports on events as well as other resources. We look forward to sharing information and ideas with you, and to home remedies for herpes welcoming you into our ongoing discussions!

The Hidden Power of the Gospels, by Alexander J. Shaia, will be released by HarperOne on February 2, 2010. While The Journey of Quadratos involves many elements, this book explores the journey as it relates to the four Christian gospels. Dr. Shaia also discusses the original communities for which the gospels were written and shares the significance of the development of the Three-Year Sunday gospel reading sequence.

The four progressive paths of quadratos correspond to the four gospels and the four great questions of the spiritual life –

First Path: How do we face change?
Climbing the Great Mountain of Matthew

Second Path: How do we move through suffering?
Crossing Mark’s Stormy Sea

Third Path: How do we receive joy?
Resting in John’s Glorious Garden

Fourth Path: How do we mature in service?
Walking Luke’s Road of Riches

The book is available now for pre-order from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or your local bookseller. Also, check out the ninety-second YouTube video above featuring Alexander talking about the book.

Longtime quadratos friend Sandra Lommasson, founder and executive director of Bread of Life in Sacramento, California, recently posted this beautiful reflection called “Spirit Wants to Incarnate.” She mentions several quadratos principles and references the new book The Hidden Power of the Gospels. We hope that you will enjoy the reflection.
